313 wheels
Has anyone had their style 313 wheels refurbished ?
Intreseted in a set on ebay which needs refurbishing so want to know, can they be brought back to their original condition and whats the original colour on them. Saw these wheels on a car in my local $tealer and I think they are grey. Please advise. |

Anyone ?
Plus does anyone know if they have diamond cut finish. Just been to AWR in bury, Lancashire and they have quoted £110+vat/ wheel as I mentioned that they will need a diamond cut finish. So if thats true I wont procede with the purchase as they are not worth around £1700 even with quite new runflats. Please advise |

313's are diamond cut.
You'll get away with one refurb, after that you'll be back to powder coating/spraying. In honesty diamond cut wheels whilst looking great are a liability on UK roads, there far too easy to damage, as are all wheels. |

Thanks HC. I think I'll better off not getting them as they costing around the new wheel and what extra I am getting are runflats.

Why there are 2 different types of 313 wheels and what the difference between them as 313M are a bit dearer then 313 performance wheels ??
Are they both have diamont cut finish or not. The one I am after are 313M and not the performance ones. At alloywheelsdirect.com they both are of same size with same offset but different part number. |

no idea about differences other than the performance ones say BMW Performance in black on each wheel, but not to say thats the only difference.

I have had my 2 of my 313 wheels refurbished. They are diamond cut as others have said. Although the company (Lepsons) did a good job, they are not quite the same after refurbishment, you can tell which ones have been done.
I wouldn't buy a wheel that needed refurbishing. Mine are the 313P, and having seen the 313M also, I'm pretty sure its only extra "BMW Performance" branding that is different. The wheels are actually manufactured by BBS |

I would keep a beady eye on eBay, as a new set of 4 + tyres have gone for as little as £1,020 (up to £1,400) - I would avoid buying a trashed set on eBay for £700 odd and getting them refurbed.
The 313Ms are more a lighter grey finish, whereas the 313Ps are brighter with no "M" in the center and "BMW Performance" near the tyre valve which I personally think looks a bit tacky. I think the 313Ms are better and are of course factory fit wheels. |

I like the 313's but dislike the darker colours. How would a set look if they were refurbished but without the diamond cut finish - just traditional silver powdercoat do you think?

I don't think they are dark in colour at all, In fact the main face and spokes are very shiney and bright.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/e90gar...2736_small.jpg I think if they were powder coated they would loose the 'sharpness' to the edges and wouldn't look right. Just IMHO of course. |

They do look nice - which is a relief because I quite strongly dislike all the standard E92 wheels, and BBS LM's cost a small fortune.
A good set of wheels makes a car - getting the Style 37's on my E39 was one of the best things I ever did. Interestingly I note that they are also available in 18 inch, which is very appealing. They are standard fit on the US market 335iS as well. Wonder why the 18's are so rare? |

They're probably not a whole lot cheaper, I guess if you're spending a lot of money on wheels, you may as well go the whole hog. I haven't seen the 18" version in the flesh, but I'm sure the 19" will look better on the car.
The 18" would give a much nicer ride though...... |

No, the 18 inch version is definately available for the E90 as well. Several UK stockists have them, and they are standard fit on the US 335iS.
18's appeal becuase the ride is better and as an added bonus, the tyres are cheaper. |
