Get it from Opie Oils instead - great service and guaranteed to be right.
Not sure if the link will work - £56 for 7 litres of oil and a filter. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/t-recommen...r-or-bike.aspx Edit: Just seen that you only wanted 1L - £6 for Fuchs Titan from Opie:

I think there's a grade of Magnatec that is actually fully synthetic and is LL04 approved. Best IMO to stick with Castrol Edge 5W30.

i ended up using Euro Car parts 30% off offer and got myself some Valvoline SynPower MST 5w30. It's BMW LL04.
worth noting that LL04 is only a requirement for modern diesels. The E90 petrols will happilly use LL01 or LL04 as specified in the manual. |

for the oilies here, do different brands give different results?
ie smoother drive, longer life etc i know the difference between sythentics/non, but I just wondered if say Castrol made your engine feel quieter/smooth than Fuchs |

i've never noticed any difference.... oil of the same spec and grade should be much of a muchness
the only way you'd notice any huge difference is if you were using oil that was way out of spec. e.g. far too thick for your engine. |
