Thanks mate.

Yes,

the "Aero 300" cap features a vented spindle that is incorporated into the centre pin of the the locking mechanism, however it is not a check valve.

We are in the process of redesigning the ventilation system of our tanks. Once complete all future tanks will include an additional weld-in, for fastening of a threaded fitting that features a "roll over" check valve, with an attached nylon tube that will be placed within the trunk liner cavity.

We have used this ventilation method in the past with great success, on many of the Skyline GTR race cars that the workshop has built over the years.

Cheers,

JD.

4.5 liters would be enough, especially if using 100% meth on it and leaving your WW-meth fluid concentration to 30% meth, 70% water for which it is designed for to keep it safe. I believe the pwm kit could support this additional tank+pump, if not directly, with slight modifications?

Has the design addressed sloshing some way? In general tanks should be tall for keeping air out of the line.
Ideally the pump inlet would be placed below the outlet of the tank and we could have done that, but this is the location the customer requested and the system has been working flawlessly. From what I recall all the WW kits on the market that many have installed, would not allow the pump pickup to be gravity feed either.

Yes, the tank is internally baffled to prevent cavitation of the Meth' pump when the tank is low in Methanol, or under extreme track conditions, so "sloshing" of the mixture is not a concern.

Thanks mate, so if your tank is also "stealth" where will it be located?

i love the stealth look.
Cheers, we did look into the possibility of doing an injection moulded version, but the die costs etc. were beyond what we could afford to invest into the project.

I am quite certain we would sell a truck load of these at 400 buckeroos, but even if we dispensed with the flush mount "Aero 300" cap and did not anodize the tank, we would still be losing money on each tank at $400 a piece.

Shoot Justin a PM. they aren't cheap, but if stealth is as important to you as it is to me you'll jump on it.

Hey mate,

the confirmed pricing on the "stealth" in-boot E92 tanks are as follows:

Completed tank in raw aluminium, $675.00

Completed tank that has been powder coated black, $700.00

Completed tank that has been anodised and subsequently dyed black, $800.00

All of the above prices are exclusive of shipping charges.

Cheers,

JD.

^other than cosmetic reason is there any benefit to getting the tank anodised? That version might be a deal breaker price wise.

Justin PM a price shipped 34202.

Yes,

the anodising process prevents Methanol induced corrosion of the aluminium.

Unfortunately to have individual tanks anodised here in Sydney, is both a costly and time consuming process for us.

If we were to have say 5 tanks anodised at once, I suspect it would cost us a lot less per tank to do so and it would be much more convenient too, which means we could charge significantly less than $125 per tank.

To be honest I actually prefer the look of the tank when powder coated black, but that also means the 2.5 mm aluminium sheet we use to fabricate the tank, is open to the possibility of Meth' induced corrosion.

The other option is that I can supply the tank raw and you use a local workshop for anodising, they may be a lot cheaper than here in Sydney, just a thought...

Cheers,

Justin.
