Depends on your vehicle. If you have Xenon, Rain Sensor, etc.

Check here for Part No.

That's what I thought.
I went to the real oem page and found that part number, but I wanted to be sure. I do have Xenons, fogs and rain sensor.

USA is 61316938864
Europe 61316932796

I could have really used the rear fogs today. It was very thick this morning.
Thanks!

BTW, if you try compressing a non-recessable original switch enough it looks like it can break!

finally got a chance to install this mod....instructions worked beautifully except for one thing. getting the piece to fit flush with the trim. it wasnt looking like it was fitting, kinda was just sitting there not clipped on and after looking at it, you have to line up the clips and take the screwdriver and push the clip up and you ll hear it snap into place, dit it for all 4 clips, now its a tight fit, perfect, looks great, nice write up, thanks

This part with the rear fog light switch does not have that feature.

Anyone else notice this or did I get a defective part?
You did not. I tryed in my 08 model It cant do it anymore.

Thank you. I would've been stuck at taking the bottom piece that's connected by the three pins.

Thumbs up

Picked up the euro switch last week from Tischer ($60 on sale plus shipping) and put it in this morning. I can attest this is really easy to do. Although to be honest, I initially had visions of scratching the trim, breaking little plastic parts etc.. That is why I waited until today to do it. I wanted to make sure I was not in a hurry and could take my time. Even then it only took 10 minutes. The bottom light switch piece took a little patience and controlled pulling to loosen it up and pull it off the pins. Thanks for the info guys.

I did the DIY. Pretty easy (thanks to the great instructions). After installing it and on my first ride, I pressed the light switch knob to see if it recessed as others have mentioned, and the whole new unit that I ordered fell inside the hole. I opened the trim again and pushed the part back into the trim... however it feels that it can fall inside if I press it with any slight force. Any else face this problem? fix?

ps: interesting thing to mention, I completed the DIY and then tried to start the car.. door was open, and I pressed the clutch and start button... nothing.. so I am like, maybe car wouldn't start with door open... try again.. nothing.. I am like DANG.. looks like major electrical issue... gonna cost me a lot ... then I realize, the key is not in the ignition... hahaa....phew!!

You mean the whole switch fell inside the trim???
when you put the modded switch back to the trim....use a little pressure and make sure all you hear four "clicks" when the clip secure with the bottom trim.....that's it...

and as for the start issue....i think u need a few drinks...

Installing Euro Rear Fog Light Switch

This was the easiest upgrade I have ever done. It really took 5 minutes to install and it works great. I could see the lights at 6pm when I took the photos (see my other post) of the rear and inside of the car.
I am so glad I found this forum when I did. If you have questions on where to buy, just do a search like I did. I got the switch for $56.95 plus $8 dollars shipping. I ordered from Crownauto.com.

Thanks to everyone for the great info here in the DIY.

I installed the Euro switch today in my 09 E93. The 09 US OEM switch has chrome trim on the piece that you actually turn. Does anyone know if this can be removed from the switch?
