Muffler delete with dual exhaust or quad diffuser question
I am going to be doing a muffler delete on my e90 330i and before I mimick the way it looked, I was wondering if there was a rear diffuser that would allow a look like the 335 or the M3? Thanks!!!

Only way to get the true M3 look is with an M3 bumper. |

Lol no harm no foul guys.
IMO a muffler delete is a bit too much (only listening to YouTube vids). But, maybe adding the extra piping of a dual exhaust would help tone it down to a more tolerable level. Any vids out there of the delete and dual conversion? Haven't found any. |

Muffler delete is perfect with the right tips. Doesn't drone at all on the highway, kicks ass on the power side.

I say first try the muffler delete only and see how you like it. I don't have drone with just the muffler delete, I am using 2.5 inch piping from the resonator back. The car is super quiet under 3000rpm but when you want, it screams. The cold start is nice just a little extra growl.
I say hold off on the 2nd cats because you dont want to have to deal with smog problems, because here in CA its a bitch

The AA 328i exhaust is fairly cheap (around 500) Sounds pretty good to me, and it has this thing, dont know what it is called, but it prevents drone. There is no muffler.

I did a single to dual conversion on my 330i using the Magnaflow 12138. The only concern I would have for the dual muffler delete is that drone will definitely be annoying.
As far as diffusers go I believe there was a diffuser from Cyba for an OEM 335 bumper if you wanted to do quads but they stopped making it so have a looksee. As far as vids for duals go there are users arctic330, VTECaddict, and koreez (or koreez88) that have some videos up for that. PM me if you have any questions about the dual setup. It cost me about 300 for exhaust alone. |
