So I was finally able to get the MMW headers installed and a few other things to go with it. Had my buddy Stevie over at SS Motorsports in Simi Valley set up the car.

Headers:

The first look at them, they came out perfect. Gavin did a great job with making sure you get a great product. I couldn't be happier with the headers and how they came out. If you look at them the quality is there.

Install was pretty straight forward no cutting or any problems with the install. Stevie was very happy with how easy Gavin made the headers to install. Stevie was also able to add the clamps from the stock headers to make the exhaust bolt straight onto the new headers so if I ever need to change anything or drop it, it will not be a problem. Both Gavin and Stevie both did a great job with the headers, can't be any happier. Hopefully I will get a Dyno soon for you guys.

Exhaust:

Since I was there I had Stevie change out the Exhaust. Wanted to get something with a deeper tone on the exhaust. With the headers and the MMW CSv1 Exhaust it was way too raspy and loud for me. Stevie had a magnaflow exhaust at the shop had him changed out the Exhaust which is what he recommended that would make the car deeper tone and not so raspy. The exhaust and header combo came out so perfect. The sound is what I wanted and I will get a video for you guy soon. But I couldn't be happier with the new set up on the Headers and Exhaust.

Angel Eyes:

Had ordered some HID Depo Angel Eyes from a member on the forums. Had Stevie go ahead and install those as well. Came out great, car looks nice with the Angel Eyes.

Performance for Headers:

I will try and get a dyno soon just havent had time to go get one, but I can tell the car pulls alot harder, wants to jump off the line now. Its like driving a whole new car, so I'm happy with the Performance. Overall the headers are a great buy in my option and you can't go wrong.

Looks great! Thanks for sharing your awesome results!

No offense, but I don't trust butt dyno's, so let us know if/when you bring it in for the real power achieved. Any dyno before, like with just the 3 stage, or even stock, then 3 stage, then headers? Any dyno is good data though. Very nice setup and thanks again for sharing it!

I don't have a before but i know 07 328i runs around 185 whp stock, because my friend has the same exact car as me. So hopefully I will be able to get a dyno of we're I'm at with all the mods soon and then see what I'm pushing.

I'd like to see a vid of headers on stock exhaust or at least an aftermarket one with a res

99% of cars are made with no cats in the headers and they're fine.. The real issue is almost every single person on this forum removes the resonator.. This is DUMB. It's barely a restriction and makes the exhaust have way less/no rasp and quietens it down a bit. Heck, you can make the pipes entirely out of resonators and it'll flow like straight pipes and be as quiet as stock just about >_<

Tl;dr do NOT remove your resonator ever unless you want your exhaust note to sound shit.

And what have you ever contributed? You seem to plaster these threads daily
with your opinions but what have you ever done to warrant anyone giving a crap what you say.

Where is your baseline dyno? What is your current ET and trap speed? Oh, you dont know either but you are happy to criticize others.

Baseline dyno - 198 hp

Muffler delete and injen intake - 200 hp

AA stage 1 tune muffler delete and stock us air box mod - 216hp

AA stage 2 (custom) Catless (homemade headers) us air box mod and full exhaust - 228 hp

Replaced two bad exhaust manfild ring gaskits that were leaking and re dyno - 235 hp

I took about ten mins of video today. My buddy is uploading it to Youtube, which is going to take like 8 hours(jk) I dont know how long but hopefully I will have them up in the next day so. The video came out good and hopefully you guys will like the exhaust with the headers sound.

I will have to ask Stevie for the Model # but it looks like this and its the smallest one they have - 2.5 in/out - 14in and over length was 20inches.

Mine was like Marbles playing in the Exhaust before the change. Its like 10 times better with the Magnaflow. I love it

DJ Apex, Nice breakdown on the mods. Thank you for sharing. You’re the first person I think that has done a breakdown like this. I'm hoping to hit the 240-250ish that would be nice.

I'm working on the Dyno hopefully I will be able to get it in soon. Not sure on the ETA my buddy is working on it for me to get me in. As soon as I get the final number I will post it up.

I am still waiting on headers from Gavin. I have a completely stock exhaust set up.

Stock:
171 rwhp
155 Ft Lbs

3 stage + AA Stage 2
206 rwhp
188 Ft Lbs

My current goal
1)Dyno next Thursday with new intake
2)Dyno with added headers/stock exhaust
3)Dyno with headers and 2nd cat delete

4)If car becomes raspy, I will add an x pipe and 2 small resonators directly after
or
4)Add a magnaflow x pipe/resonator combo they have

Not sure which yet for #4, will depend on sound.

My baseline is actually 203.5whp on a dyno dynamics just done about 4 hours ago tyvm - time for new spark plugs and oil, on 9.5" 18's.

Et/traps will come in a couple of weeks when i hit the strip.

Yours??

I've also sparked inquiry into finding m3 front suspension components at potentially half the price

You were saying?

Ed: on this is on a 265bhp 130i on a dyno that was consistently reading weird/low all day.. Stock rx8's getting 160whp, an evo vii with a cat back getting 245awhp (being slightly under rated from factory clearly!) - a non turbo r33 with headers and exhaust got 193, where a stock one (with a mild exhaust got 160whp (rated at 200bhp stock) - 25% drivetrain loss from stock was pretty consistent at least

So yeah going by the 206rwhp above, assuming also on a dd with similar setup, 270bhp there

A 128i having a stock dyno of 200whp would mean it's on a dyno that reads much higher - whenever you speak of dyno numbers, please mention what type of dyno it was measured on. I know it's never going to be a perfect comparison, but it'll give people a better idea of where they're at when they've somehow only got 200whp on a 3stage swap when others somehow have 200hp stock lol

On a higher reading dyno i'd expect more like 230whp

Ed: can't forget the dyno read a lotus europa with 130km on the clock at like 91whp.. It's 225bhp, no one had a clue why :/
