Take Delivery Tomorrow Any Suggestions?
After nearly 3 months of waiting I finally take delivery of a 335i sedan tomorrow, any suggestions on what specifically I should have the dealer show me?

they have a whole theatre play prepared for you (and that's one of the fees you paid when getting your car) where they're gonna "train" you on how to use your car. they're pretty thorough with everything so you shouldn't be missing much. if you ordered your car with iDrive, you'll be sitting there for a long time.
other than that, just enjoy congrats!

oh crap, i just noticed you're in germany. in that case, i have no idea what your procedures are like but you really just need to read the manual and figure stuff on your own. there isn't really anything dealers keep secret and disclose only to their customers.
on top of it, many dealers give very bad advice, such as, don't follow the break-in period because the car is already broken-in. not!

Just do the basics i.e. general walkthough to make sure everything is in order wrt bodywork/paint/wheels/interior condition. You can sit there and turn knobs/push buttons all you want but that's what the new car warranty is for. You might want to take extra time to make sure paperwork and such is in order. The Client Advisor should spend a minimum amount of time to orient you with the features of your new car. I am quite sure they do this everywhere. Don't forget your camera for the obligatory 'new owner at delivery' picture

I think you should drive straight to the dock... put it on a boat and ship it to me.
No seriously.... congrats! Usually when I pick up a car I'm so excited I don't really hear a thing the sales dude is saying, so just check it out as good as you can and get all your big questions answered and go drive that mo fo! e90 335's rock! :rocks: |
