Riss Racing down pipes install
hi guys...i just got my catless riss racing DP's and i called a few shops the install them...and some shops say that they might need to drop the engine in order to put them on...so please i live in nyc,ny...so please any info would be great...thanks

I have catted with AE downpipe back exhaust. I think it sounds great. Many people say that catless DP's sound good if you leave the rest of the stock exhaust in place.

heard from a friend that has access to the actual BMW instructions for replacing DP's and dropping the engine is called for..
Sounds like there just reading there sources. But im sure once they got under the car they would see thats not needed at all. A lift would have been nice for my install though:P |

The pipes are easy to take off, and a total bitch to put on. Trust me. Find a shop that has done it before on these specific cars.

Absolutley. When Sniz was working on mine (on a lift). we were using all kinds of extensions and swivels, with air and manual ratchets, to be able to hit all the right angles as easy as possible. Sniz got mine done in about 2.5 hours using me as a second pair of hands.
