My Rixster gauge does not have PNP harness
So i got my rixter vent gauge in the mail today after ordering it in my GB and decided to install it. im at the point where i have to connect the PNP harness to the plug in the ashtray...but my cable doesnt have the PNP harness, it has 3 separate cables that look like they need to be tapped in to other places. what am i supposed to do?

yeah that sucks because the older gauges literally have a plug and play connector. The new ones just have a butt splice connector which for the 12 and ground seem to be too small for the wires.

the splice is so easy to use. The PNP harness was only for certain vehicles and it probably ended up being too confusing for RiXster to have 3 different harnesses for different years. The splicing way is easy and works fine with all the e9x's

He said he did that because it can be used on all years, the PnP was originally just for the older models. He just needs to update the directions/video, but I'm sure you saw on the paper in the box it gives the wire tapping directions.

They are not too small ! But I think that you tried to splice the electrical system's wires (with the female socket) instead of the cigarette lighter socket wires (with the male socket) which are thinner. Don't ruin your car's electrical system by messing with the thick wires, you can never replace those, whereas you can easily replace the cigarette lighter socket with it's wires if needed.
