Weird sound from the sub

My sub stopped working few days ago while driving all of sudden, Now I'm getting this weird sound from the sub when I play music any idea what this has caused..

Also power light on the amp is constantly flashing..

In my experience, that sound is usually when something has blown....

Have you got it wired up correctly in terms of impedance, 2ohm, 4ohm etc?

Yes, it's wired correctly..
It's been in the boot same place from last 2years pumping bass out..

You fried amp. Usually amps go bad due to moisture, bad grounds and incorrect wiring. But could just be it's time to go. See if a shop can fix it or get a new one. Check all wiring. Paint around ground scrapped, and actually into a good grounded spot. I use 2 tapper screws. Using a capacitor also help. Make sure you have a compatible amp and sub. Power and ohms do matter....a lot....
