They will fit. But to make them fit properly spacers will be needed to complete the stance.

I wouldn't say that constitutes a fail lol. I'm not new to the modding world. I did plenty of research before I purchased this car.

I didn't mean to sound harsh on "no sport package = fail" The only reason, in my eyes, this package offers the best bang for buck in terms of what BMW offers in other packages. Typically, in a used car this package is a wash and you pay a minimum to get it; Just have to find the car with it present.

Nice upgrade, I always liked the B7. I want to see how those rims turn out.

I guess I could say I have come over from Audi. Had a B7, traded it in on a '12 Q5 for the wife and I got the 328xi that she was driving. I do miss that little 2.0T.

Welcome...

I too left the VAG family. VAG meaning Volks Audi Group...not Vagina! I am still the president of the North America VAG Family - vagina is a huge part of my life and I love it dearly...

I traded in a Passat...it was a fun car but drove like a boat compared to my E92.

I will always love VW/Audi's...and I will definitely buy another when my wife and I decide to have kids. My wife still drives a VW so it's always close to my heart!

Congrats on your purchase. I bought a non sport 335. I had a 330 sport 6 spd before it and I honestly hated my 335 when I got it. In fact the only reason I got it because it is AW with terra and it is 6spd. The rest can be changed! I dont know how you did it but I could not let go of my audis. I have kept them both and wont let go unless its to get another audi : )

Ordered up a bunch of parts at the end of last week and also dropped my wheels off at the powder coater.

And here's a pic because everyone likes pictures* ;D

Nice car OP. Tasteful mods so far. Don't worry about the sport package. The upgraded suspension that came with the car is better. Your just missing out on the seats and steering wheel. Though it is true that even with a 2008 you only get an oil cooler with the sport package AND 18" wheels. My 2008 e92 w/sport package and 17" wheels didn't have a factory oil cooler. There are lots of aftermarket options so don't sweat it. My only concern is those x5 wheels. Aren't they like 19x10 and 19x11 with a high offset? Another member was thinking of doing it and posted that the wheel weight was ~40 lbs. each for the front and ~42 lbs. for the rears! That means you need spacers heavy rims... I don't know. The stock 17's are ~22-23 lbs. that means you're adding 80 lbs. to your rotational mass which means real shitty acceleration, handling and braking.

The wheels are 19x9 front and 19x10 rear. the offsets are pretty high but they are not very heavy and definitely arent 40 lbs a piece. I have spacers that will make te wheels sit perfect for the stance I am going for. I'm not too worried about it as I have seen the wheels run on other BMW's as well as Audi's and VW's.

Sounds like you've done your research. Good luck with it. I've seen pics of the rims on an e46 and they looked pretty good so I bet they'll look good on your e90. I definitely like how different it is. Modding is about individualizing the car to your taste and it's nice to see something other than bbs lm reps or csl reps.

I think so many of us here have come from Audis. Still love the cars. Even though my BMW is better in every tangible way, for some stupid reason, I **loved** my Audi, while I simply appreciate my BMW. Maybe I'm just getting older or there is something about the 4 rings.......
