G37 vs my JBD at 80%

Had the opportunity to do some controlled runs against a 2011 G37 sedan (auto)- we weren't really interested in standing starts (too many variables for us relative to launch) so spent most of the time 30-60, 40-80, 60 - 120 etc...all straight line side by side

And it was a very very even match - thats really all I can say -

I'm fairly surprised that wouldn't be an easy kill based on others stories. I thought that a g37 was a high 13s car at beet

Not surprising considering the gearing and hp/torque curves of our cars, they fall a bit flat up top. Our cars really shine from standing start - that's when get te jump on cars with more HP. If you ran him from a dig it would be a different story.

Interesting. With JBD the HPs are pretty similar in both cars. Your D should hit a big, fat torque spot at triple digit speeds in 5th or 6th up to 120ml/h at least then it dies. Our Ds are pretty bad for roll ons, the sweet spot is too short and need to react fast with manual shifting since with JBD power ends around 3500rpm which is quite an advantage over stock where it ends well before 3000rpm.

to be clear - I am no pro - just stabbed and steered - so driver error (mine) could certainly be to blame

yes you had fun and I believe the the G37 owner was pissed that a DIESEL was on his ASS!!! LOL, usually if you do roll on you should use your SPORT Mode so that you can have ALL the available torque for a few seconds, RENNtech has given me their latest and updated flash, Ive been lazy to do the dyno but will do so in nearby future, they adjusted my parameters so that my car will have power ALL the way thru the power band, and trust me this is a BIG differance as before I can feel both turbos screaming this time
