M3 back end

Well all complete and running, ABS system is all OK so no mods there the car goes very well with the lower rear end, this is a top mod and worth the $ if you want a super strong rear end and something that you will never break.
There is still one more job to do as the rear end came from a water damaged car so i have to replace the wheel bearings. Shame as the car had only done 7,200km all other parts are 100%
Total cost - complete M3 rear end with drive shaft brakes etc $3500.00
Drive shaft mods 335-M3 $180.00
labour around $1000.00
brake fluid 1ltr 600 MOTUL $80.00
Alignment $120.00
Total cost $4880.00

extra cost rear wheel bearings $180.00 labour $300.00

Peter can you do everyone a favour and display images that fit on a screen?

Use Photobucket or the like?

Pete, curious on you impression of the half shafts on the M3. They look beefier in the photos than the 335 half shafts, but I have heard of one chap in the states that stripped IIRC one of the shafts.

Knowing the 335 has more torque, even more with FBO and Meth, is this a concern?

Dont know on that one, but i see no issue running 700+hp through the M3 ass end it is that good, it makes the stock 335 Auto drive system look very small.

Hi there
I will use the BC shock system, This car is the shop car same deal as our shop GTR we use them for our own R&D. In time i mite do another WTAC but i have done two so far and have no real need to do any more. time will tell
But this car is miles away from that event i am not about to trundle around at the back. Even in the street class We would need at least 400kw and that is a long way off.

HAHA so I assume its not these ones then:

http://www.bc-racing.com.au/

They seem very popular in the drift scene, but I suspect that because they are cheap and easy to replace when the inevitable happens?

Not necessarily, there's a whole bunch of coilovers on the market that redefine the definition of cheap. BC is surprisingly not one of them. They've been working hard on establishing a reputation for reliability... and so far, I haven't really heard of them breaking etc (unless abused).

I know plenty of people with BC coilovers and I've heard nothing but praise from them.

btw, bc/bc racing.. same thing lol

I like to use items that i can purchase spare parts for, in the case of BC i can purchase a valve or a shock body or any spring there list is long dont be fooled by there price, they make systems for TRUST / GREDDY and some other Japanese high end outfits.
We have used there products for many years on our Japanese cars and i am very happy with the performance, Yes they are priced at the low end of the market but you know that just shows how much we get riped of from other companies. when you see these shocks on a shock dyno you can see just how good they are.
We sell all types of shocks from HSD to Proflex so i can have whatever i want i just like BC . they now have a large range for BMW from $1200.00 to $2500.00 in fact we use the BC system on Justins 135 our other shop car.
As many will see with my cars i use what i know works i have a good team of guys here at Advan there is not much we cant do, so if we cant purchase it we will just make it.
I have been building race cars for more than 30 years and i enjoy passing on any info if it helps with your build.
