Lurker no more: AW/Coral MSport E92 335i build thread (updated regularly)
Been a long time lurker but I finally got into an E92 an figured I'd share the modest build of my new daily driver!
Long story short, I've been on the hunt for an '06 330i 6spd since October, but there were nothing but heaps of neglected garbage out there in the used private market... I finally found a decent 6spd E92 328i which I was supposed to purchase, but the seller went MIA (probably sold it do someone else). Out of frustration, I ended up jumping into an E55 AMG that was impeccably clean and all original. It was an absolute brute of a car and fun for about a month - it'd would be great for me if I was 50!. I recently sold it two weeks ago and found a great 335i coupe with all the bells and whistles, I guess things happen for a reason! So, here are the specs of finally making it to E9x ownership: Alpine White on Coral Red 6 speed manual M Sport, Nav, Premium, Comfort Access, PDC Current mods: H&R Sport springs, CF diffuser, vinyl roof (going to remove this). Just installed OEM BMW Performance gloss black grill, looks so much better than the paint matched ones it had. Up next: H&R Touring Cupkit and hopefully Style 269 or 313s. I prefer to keep this one as close to OEM as possible. Some pics after giving it a full BMW Spa treatment, she looked and smelled new! April 29, 2014 - Got the summer wheels and tires mounted: OEM Style 313M and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. I'm in love with the look! Just needs spacers to flush it out. Crappy cell phone shots after a rainy day: July 2014 - added low-kick Performance style AW trunk spoiler. August 2014 - added VRSF DPs, Cobb AP2 Cold Start Normal Temp October 2014 - Relocated to Chicago, added 40W LED AE bulbs, modified Performance style OEM exhaust, PTF tune! 343whp, 414wtq on 91 octane. PTF FTW!! Winter 2014/5 - Style 162 winter wheels, Stett chargepipe and Synapse BOV, EU-spec LCI tails. 162s on Dunlop Wintersport 3D: Synapse BOV: LCI tails: [B]February 2015 A golden opportunity came up for some OSS headlights (full black and V2 LED angel eye replacement rings) with a [relatively] local member. Traded my stock headlights + a bit of cash for these beauties! Always wanted a set of these since I got the car, but I could never see myself forking over $600-800 for a conversion, plus another $300 for new headlight lenses as mine were a bit too pitted for my liking... This chance was way too good to pass up. I love the blackout on AW! I know, I know... that bumper really needs to be re-adjusted. Spring 2015 Scored a set of beautiful BBS LM-R; red BBS closed ended lug nuts, red painted calipers, CF front lip: . Summer 2015 OEM BMW Performance carbon fiber interior trim kit, BMW Performance Electronic V1 steering wheel + carbon switch trim: And some shots of my summer baby: Can you tell I like red? Thanks fellas. I didn't expect the E39 to get that much love out here, lol. As requested, here are more shots!
But first, a little flyby video (Before I went back to stock grilles) With a couple of friends on a Sunday drive Okay I'm done whoring out photos of my Red Mistress. Quote:

Thanks, not to many 6spd N54 MSport coupes around with lots of options and this combo! Edit: actually, it's 1 of only 10 AW+CR 6spd MSport 335i ever made for Canada! Damn, I feel even happier now. Lol. Last edited by dbworld4k; 04-15-2014 at 12:30 AM.. |
