Exclamation Procede v4 Firmware #20 is up!

Posted here along with the most current maps: http://vishnutuningforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21

No changes to the maps or datalog set up files. All I did was replace the previous firmware version with the firmware. So those already running the most up to date goodies, need only update their firmware.

Compared to the privately released Firmware #19 (in-dash boost gauge) that I emailed out to a few hundred people the other day, this new firmware is for public consumption. And it has a few improvements.

Changes:
-Fuel level gauge now works in valet mode
-Ability to toggle between fuel gauge mode and boost gauge mode by double-clicking the Hazard button. Note that the engine must be running to switch modes. And that this will only work when in a non-valet map (map1 or map2).
-The display mode selection is also pesistent upon power off/on. So if you select boost display mode. It will remain selected after you shut off/on your car. Same goes for standard fuel level display.
-When starting the car in fuel display mode, the needle first move (momentarily) to display fuel level. Just for a second to let you know As always, the miles-until-refill and low fuel level indicators/alarms are still functional, regardless of what display mode you are in.

Little demo:

Impressive!
Unfortunately I still have V3 on my car.
Maybe it's time to upgrade.

This is pretty cool. Just tried it out.
Shiv, I notice this is a global setting for the maps(map 1, map2). Can you make it be independent for each maps. So if I have map 1 to display fuel and map 2 to display boost psi, when I switch from map 1 and map 2 they have independent IN-DASH displays.
I like that the fuel gauge is active in valet mode for dealership visits.

Not yet. One step at a time. It's easy to implement all these options/features. What is far more difficult is making all these user inputs intuitive and easy to follow. What we are trying to avoid is a tune that requires you to use a reference manual to activate all these different features. Instead, we try ot make the Procede smart to do things on its won without any input from the user. Also, a lot of thought has to be put into the future options that will be implemented. So, for the most part, this "road map" dictates the order of released updates.

Doable but overly complicated for the end user. I don't see any issue with the user simply double-clicking a button to select mode selection. Sometimes it more imporant to think about what we *should* do rather than what we *could*do.

Well, our smart/progressive nitrous control works now. I just hate testing nitrous. Trying to get other important things done before punching a hole on my block.

I think you should take a vote on it. I believe users who are using the IN-DASH Boost gauge function by double-pressing the hazard light to active it, are staying in one map anyways (since Autotune). If they do switch to map 2, it will be off by default as map 1 was until they activated it.
Users who are using different maps are more tech savvy to begin with, so it wouldn't apply to the them. My vote, make it happen. It will be cool, for us who run map2(race gas, meth, etc) to have map2 independently indicate boost, fuel, meth flow, etc..

Does the fuel gauge hijack default to 'not selected', or is it an 'opt out' function? I suggest 'opt in'.

PUNCHING a HOLE on YOUR BLOCK!
Stop it...with all the safety you have there is no chance....so quit slacking and give us the goods!
I know all the updates are in conjunction with what will eventually come out is the nitrous! You always do things in a methodical way!

You like the older brother I never had, aways picking on me.

"Hey people, would you want to have an independent IN-DASH display for different maps? Remember that new features will be out in future like meth flow as well."

Remember, that if you want map 2 to display fuel or boost as in map 1 as well, you can. This just gives you the option of remembering what display you want to my used by the fuel gauge for different maps. Just another layer of customization for different maps.
