Coder help?

Hello Seattle,

I know the holidays are over, but can anyone donate a few minutes to help me with coding my E92 for LCI tail lights? I will supply good beer!

Define help...

Do you have the software and cable? Know the module and pieces to code? Or do you need somebody to do everything?

I coded my own car using the software, cable, and patience. I've coded a few things in a friend's car too. For the most part, it's pretty simple.

Personally, i've never done the LCI tail light code, but i couldn't believe it would be very difficult.

Unfortunately it is quite a distance away. Thanks for all your responses. I was hoping someone could show me the ropes as I just bought some LCI tail lights. I read the original coding thread which was a million posts long and didn't feel comfortable doing the coding myself. Over the past day however, I've been doing a lot of reading and I'm feeling a lot more comfortable. I think I'm going to give it a shot. Would have been nice to have someone that has already done it for support though.

Thanks,
Michael K

I've coded a few things on 3 different cars, but not what you r looking to do. I do have the software and hardware set up. Could meet up and let you borrow it to take a whack at it yourself.

That would be great! Thank you! I could use some technical support, or even moral support for this. All I want to do right now is change these two values to turn off the bulb check:

WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BLK_H
nicht_aktiv
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_BLK_H
nicht_aktiv

Unfortunately you are way down there so some coordinating is required. I am in no rush, so perhaps I can find a time when you are available and I actually have a day off.

Where are you at? I do go between Oly and Friday Harbor every couple of weeks. Otherwise we can meet up on a weekend.

Might as well figure a couple other things out to change while you're hooked up to the computer:
Wiper complete
Seat belt nag
Nav disclaimer
Digital, and accurate, speedo
Folding side mirrors

I live in Bothell, but work at Boeing Everett. Give me a time and place and I'll make it work. All those items sound great! I will definitely need to compensate you for your time and revamping my enthusiasm for this car.
