As for spare solutions after switching to non-rft's, I use Tire Shield, which is a latex formula that spreads itself along the inside of the tire and helps to plug punctures when they happen. Completely TPMS compatible. Helps provide me with some piece of mind.
I was looking at the Bilstien and KW variant which are both over $2k. Yes there are cheaper coil-overs...

Don't you need to replace the tire after you spray that tire goo in there?

Would it not be better to get coilovers for a few extra $$$'s and have the ability to adjust softness of the ride.
The only coils for the xDrive that you can adjust dampening on are KW V3's and they are over twice the cost of the H&R Sport / Bilstein Sport set up...KW V3's are upwards of $2k where as H&R Sport and Bilstein Sport are $850.

Either way, a lowered car is a lowered car. A sportier suspension is naturally going to lend itself to a slightly harsher ride, it's just the way it is

Bilstein doesn't make coils for xDrive. KW V3 is the only coil set up over $2k for xDrive

I'm not sure I understand your question. The Tire Shield is installed when you put the tires on and remains active for the life of the tire

OK, I'm not familiar with Tire Shield. I thought it was a "fix a flat" type product.

Just some XI porn with KW V1's... Definitely the way to go unless you want more adjustability, then go V3's...

This was my setup, I do miss the car. Just not all the issues with the turbos!

Yes indeed! It's my daily driver. I'm very pleased. Great ride. The Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires are alittle too noisy. Next time I'll put on the Pilot Super Sports.

Good luck! This is a great set-up. You won't be unhappy with it as a DD.

Anyway, my point is that for a lot less money you are getting a similar ride experience from the spring/shock combo over coil-overs...

V3 work well for me. They can be found for less than $2K. Pics are in the sig.
