Did you get the new MF buttons or you re-used the non sport MF buttons? It seems the non sport buttons wont fit the sport steering panel cover... |

Hey... Great DIY... Ultimately... what is the verdict? I have a '06 325i with the sport package. Will both the M Tech steering wheels (perforated and tri-color) fit with no gaps at the airbag and with the original cover? Thanks!

The perforated M wheel with original sports package cover work fine. Perfect fit. I'm glad I did not buy the M cover.

it's really easy once you unhook the airbag, that's the hardest part of the install

you don't really need any special tools, just a thin & long flat head screw driver to unhook the springs that hold the airbag, and a wrench set!

It's kind of funny; I bought an m-sport shifter on ebay at exactly the same time as the wheel, from a guy here in the states, and the wheel got here from POLAND before the shifter has even shipped. I was a little nervous about the smooth leather on the wheel vs. the perforated leather on the m-sport shifter and e-brake handle, but since they're all black, I don't think it will matter much. -M

no, it would not work for you, look at the DIY addedum that I've created http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57159
if you buy it from the dealer, expect to pay >1,500 for the whole setup, there's nothing you can reuse from the non-zsp steering wheel
