a cheap labor could be 30 pounds per pads pair (meaning per axle).
rear pads you could find from something less than 30 till whatever you want.
also, it depends from the type that your oem are (if you dont already know them, then you could find them from realoem site, just type your vehicle's vin number and browse the from the specific category the parts you are searching for)

for example, I recently bought from ebay ferodo premier rear pads ( a bit more expensive than pagid and textar but they are producing less dust) for 40 pounds and had them installed for 30 pounds (I also changed the front pads again from oem textar to ferodo premier for 60 pounds and the installation cost 30 too)

Pagid are a good bet did my rears in April and fronts last week. All Pagid and the crazy thing is the parts are identical to BMW OEM. The brake sensors cable from BMW and from Pagid are same right to stamping of numbers. OEM pads on my 09 plate where actually textar pads so IMO moving to pagid a improvement.

In terms of discs the pagid ones come painted / primed so easy to give them a top coat of hammerite high temp to prevent further rusting.

Now all pads are done car brakes so much better

What about "barking dust" on wheels, for this I heard best option (price-quality) is ACE Ceramic !
