n53 6mt clank gear change

hi guys

ive got a manual transmission and when changing gears from first to second not so much second to 3rd there is a clank like metal on metal happens on load when car jerks (wheen driving fast and you change gear) or i change gear too quickly, if i change gear verrry slowly releasing clutch i can minimize the sound but its kinda annoying. car drives perfect otherwise. ive heard it another same car as mine but e93 and it made same noise just wasn't as loud and as much of the time as my car.

hoping it isnt the gear box but ive got a feeling it could be the pressure plate when it meets or something?

thanks

Try the Diff, slowly pull away in 1st with windows down and then stop reverse then forward again listen out for metallic knock from rear end, hope this helps.
