Recommended fuel system cleaner?

After a horrible experience with ft. lauderdale service dept. i got my car back from them yesterday, and i must say it is running amazingly! i never knew my e92 had so much torque! anyway i want to keep it running this way and make sure the system is clean. What fuel system cleaner do u recommend that would help with this? and what are the benefits?

Lucas fuel treatment once every 50k miles or so. Won't do much but can't hurt and give some peace of mind

You can also try techron, I have a bottle of Lucas at home but haven't thrown it in the tank yet.

Mixed about it

Noob to the forums, but lots of "car" enthusiast experience. After years of driving and hundreds of thousands of miles, I still haven't figured out it these treatments are worth it. Some tests say they work, but I've seen tests they don't.

lol...sorry I couldn't help more.

Cleaners with PEA have given the best test results. At present these include Redline SI-1, Amsoil PI2 and the Gumout REGANE (must say REGANE or it doesn't have PEA) line up.

Techron works OK but causes a spike in lead wear metals if you do a used oil analysis. I stopped using it several years ago.

Any way you can type up the service details so we can see the line items/SIB's used by your service writer? This way we know what he wrote for the "Customer States" and the "Service Bulletin" for the fix was. I'm interested in how to get the vacuum hoses covered under CPO.

Also my Snake oil of choice for the fuel injector clearer is SeaFoam(TM), 1 bottle in a full tank of gas is all it takes to keep my injectors happy (I do it every 10k miles). I've also done the Carbon blasting at the 45k mile mark and had a OCC installed so I don't get all that blow by oil in my intake.

Im guessing "CPO" is a warranty? I purchased a full coverage extended warranty, but the vacuum hoses and spark plugs were not covered under it because the hoses were considered wear and tare. Gladly the solenoids and injectors were because those were the most expensive fixes

Yea CPO is what is backed by BMW when you buy their used cars from the stealership. It doesn't cover everything (probably won't cover this hose either)... but just good to get an idea. I'm sure the hoses could be DIY as well for a fraction of the price the dealer charges.

Yeah I understand what you are saying. But the warranty i have was purchased through my moms credit agency because she is a police lieutenant so they give amazing rates because i am a member. So i would not know what bmw covers. I do believe that the hoses would be DIY but because i wanted to make sure everything was done correctly and the car was in top form before i began modding i let bmw take care of it. for example they charged $23 for each spark plug, but i found the same exact brand online for $11.50.
