Tint Quote

Hey guys I finally made the jump and got a 2007 335i coupe. I am coming from an Infiniti G35 coupe. I got the car monday and I had to take it in on wednesday to get the HPFP replaced. It sucks but I'm so happy with the car that I dont really care. I know it's a common problem. Anyways down to the topic at hand.

A Tint shop just quoted me : $380 for 5% tint on all my windows. 50% on my windshield and my roof vinyled black. Do you guys think that is a good deal? This is my first time getting tint on my car so I just want to make sure I am getting a good deal.

Thanks in advance

definitely not a good deal, what kind of tint are you getting, there should be three kinds

regular tint, metallic, and ceramic

is there really a big difference between the three? I noticed that metallic and ceramic are a lot more expensive.

Congrats on the car! The ceramic will cost you the most being it blocks almost all of sunlight heat. Whats the deal with a black vinyl roof? is this the new trend as it makes the car look absolutely cheap imo.

I actually like the look of it on most cars. If I end up not liking it I will just rip it off lol. Im prolly gonna do Matte black so it wont be as glossy. I will post some pics when it gets done. I wanna go with a black motif on the car, so hopefully it will look good

Black vinyl roof makes the car look cheap?? you are crazy... i think it only looks good on a white car, but on a white car i think it looks really good.. you probably have never seen it in real life or something..

No ive been ricing since 1995. Ive seen and done some really gay trendy mods. When normal cars decides to think they are NSX's by halfing the top half of the car with this black top "looked cool?" No wonder the NSX went to a fully matched top in 1996. Now the M3 comes out with this fad of carbon fiber roof (objective was to make money) imo. So i guess vinyl roof gives the impression that your top is $$$ carbon fiber?? Im sorry, im not gonna buy into this fad lol imo. I noticed your avatar figured you vinlyed your top as well...its ok to defend mods. Luckly its reversible when you realized the scion/evo next to you is doing the same thing youll understand why i think its cheap.
