e90 Auto DS mode will not shift up

Hey gang,
So yesterday my shifter stopped gearing up. It will gear down, but not up when in DS mode. I move it towards the back, but nothing happens. I have an e90 2007 and I always drive in DS mode. The paddles work fine, but not the shifter. I've done some searches and can't find anything. I'm thinking about going to the shop/dealer but wanted to hear what you might have to say. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue.
There are a couple of threads on this topic if you search around, here is one I found that seems to be the most common cause. Most likely your wires just snapped.

I recently had a wire break and couldn't get it into manual mode. I used a butt connector and I'm back in business. Easy fix.
