Spiders!!
I seem to have quite a few small spiders (not loads by any feat of the imagination) that are residing in my home
Have been told it is the cold summer weather which has bought them in and I can't do much about it. Anyone got any ideas to get them out and make them stay out?

Right, dont kill them they dont deserve that. They kill dirty flies which is good. Flies = bad, land on dog shit then ya food etc.
Just hoover more. SPIDAZ love dust.

On I didn't know that Spiders ate Flies, well I knew they did in the wild but not when they were inside! I have a big fear of insects all together, spiders (well small ones) don't scare me as much as big flies because they make me feel sick for the reasons you outline! As for hoovering, I keep a tidy and clean home, how often would you suggest to hoover to out spiders?

Dont hoover spiders. Just let the buggger do his own thang, then he will leave.
Hoover everyday, pull bed out an hoover out there etc.

I don't really like them though and they do scare me a bit, saw a big spider the other day in my garden and was in a panic that it would come into the house, just incase it may have been something dangerous!
I thought you meant just hoover them up, the spiders! Admitted I don't hoover every single day, could be worth it if it gets rid of them, thanks for the advice.

You would be surprised at the size of spiders that live in your home that you never see. They only come out at night. There is one at my parents home must be about 5" in diameter. We don't have many in our house because our cat eats them, perhaps you should get one!

As WH said Porscha the really big ones only come out at night while your asleep, (and crawl over your face and shit) so if you`ve seen some big ones in the garden I`d say your in trouble.
Sounds like they`re breeding Arachnaphobia style from the numbers you`ve mentioned. Probably have a great big nest in the loft above your bed, waiting to burst....................................... |

Right now stop it, that is not funny!
I hate close up pics of spiders / insects there seems to be loads of them going round PHs Photography section at the moment.

Im not scared of spiders in this country but I did get rather worried when I was in Australia, these mothers, also AKA "Funnel Web Spider" can pierce a human nail with their fangs. My few nights spent camping on Fraser Island weren't the most restful.
Sleep well Porscha. Last edited by willhollin; 12-09-2008 at 04:55 PM.. |

DO not fret Porsha, my mum uses an ingenious device from lakeland!
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/content/pr...455_normal.jpg Before it used to be the glass and card trick, but she swears by this now. Those Spyders will not know what hit em. TSL
