So I went to my dealer today after calling them about 5 times and nobody new what I was talking about. So I go there and I ask one of the people there lol I don’t know what he does at bmw, He tell's me to make an appointment so I go inside and iam talking to the ladies to make an appointment and they guy next to her is like we don’t have it out BMW hasn’t relies it. I got in to a huge argument with him. So after all this I go to the guy that sold me the car and he said every one has been calling him for this update. Fort Lauderdale doesn’t have it Palm Beach doesn’t have it south Miami doesn’t have it and so fourth. So basically south Florida is the only people that don’t have the e90 software update.

Also he said that BMW is running low on brushed interior aluminum.

Pete, I'm waiting for a call back from BMWNA. Apparently the update itself is free from BMW, but the labor to do the install is at dealer discretion. I'm looking for Braman to do this for me. My car is 3 weeks old and I've had no reason to go back to them for service.

Yes, I understand, but "wanting" in this case does not apparently equate to "free". IF BMW treats this as warranty, then it's a no brainer. Over time, all of these super large dealerships will have to bring all the pre-September E90s back for the update. Also, I haven't been told how many times they've applied the update. I don't really want them to experiment on my car. I will get this once the procedure is cookie cutter to their techs.

How do I know if my car has the update?
If the headlights automatically go on during the day
and the doors lock automatically when I go a certain speed??

That would be one thing that the updates would fix. so if you have DRL and autolock then you have the update... I have had lots of E90 come in and out with the updates no problems. Not to sure why your not getting it to work pete, Bring it by Lauderdale Imports BMW

guess ill be going to lauderdale too, bought the car there anyways. also, i get the passenger airbag light and passenger seatbelt light always lit, is this part of the update? Tape your the man...
