Definitely getting 335d next...

Have swapped cars with my boss this weekend - he has a DMS mapped 535d.
I knew from previous 'plays' with Carlos that the x35d was quick, but b*gger me, when you're at the wheel it's something else.
Anyone who hasn't checked out the vid of Carlos on the strip doing a V-max run needs to check it out. The acceleration on these things is totally linear - it goes as hard at 100mph as it does 30mph.
Incredible...
Is going to be a major come down stepping back into my 325i on Tuesday...

Calling Carlos!

Your thread has arrived

Sheps - next time when you go 335d, white with red is the only colour combo worth considering, as you've done black with red!!

Did the Automatic 'box not bother you?

A great car. And our previous runs mate with me was when mine was stock. Only time we have met up since i have had map was goodwood, but we didnt get to have a proper run eh mate.

watch the speedo, as sheps said the acceleration is linear and very fast.

first shot the car is doing 115mph just sweeping round to 150mph

all on a private runway (Bruntingthorpe) before anyone slags me off.

this one is me making mince meat of a E36 M3 evo

He is my mate, and on the road i pull away even more. 335d is better rolling than there are for standing starts.

Imagine Shepsy with a 150kg less in a 3 series.

Deffo a quick car, glad your considering one. Enjoyable on track on the road and fast with it.

Easy to mash most cars (including e46 m3's0 and so comfortable to do 300 miles in a day at 40mpg lol

Carlos
