Interesting why the projected Cayman residuals are so low - is this due to competition? Big discounts to hit sales targets it the near future? If so sounds like anyone considering one may be better to wait a while?
Are GTR running costs pretty high as the residuals are looking pretty strong so far. |

Very tough. For similar money, you could have either a 2 year old GT-R or a 4 year old 997 C2S.
Performance wise the GT-R has it completely licked. Another positive note for the GT-R is that its half the age of a Porsche which is soon to be outdated by its successor. The Porsche how ever does look special (In a different way to how the GT-R looks special) and does have some kudos for being a Porsche. It would be a very VERY tough call for me, if I had 40k burning a hole in my pocket. What about you buddy?!

It would be 997 for me, but I think you already knew that would be my answer!

Carl - i wouldn't touch a 2 year old GTR. It will be an import for starts, not be covered by warranty and there has been some issues with the early cars. Also it will have Jap MFD.
First UK cars were delivered May 2009. First Nav cars deliver Sep 2009. £40k won't buy you a GTR - sorry bud |

40k you can get in a GT-R. Ive seen em. Yes Not a UK car so has its own problems. I know when they first came to the UK buddy, I know when the official cars came also. But is it worth buying, No. Suprised the Imports are still 39-40k +

Yeah I know, thats fair enough. Many people will still buy a 40k GT-R though.
