Fantastic result!

I'm still wondering what the limit of boost for stock turbos is... Alpina B3S boosts 17,4PSI. I guess this boost level is safe then...

Like I said, I'm going to have to make it up to Sac again once I get a race/meth map. It's going to be interesting to see what that would do for me.
Shiv, maybe we can do some heads up runs.

Hey Shiv the beginning of the logs, is that when you were doing the burnouts? Even with the line lock burn outs there seems to be some traction loss in first...I wonder if you had no wheel sping 11.3 for sure!!

With all this power and spinning the wheels in 2nd, I would think the awd's will be taking over soon...

And we renamed the map "Stage 5". This allowed us to drop the boost target slightly for Stg 4 so that it sits nicely between 3 and 5 in terms of boost level/tune aggression.
Wasn't the stg 4+ map running 17.4 psi? What does it mean that the boost target is set to 18.5psi?

Stg 4 boost targe was set to 17.4. Which means that it ran high 16s of boost (due to pressure loss across the throttle body. Stg 5 runs one more pound of boost. Which is largely responsible for the 2mph we picked up in trap speed.

The first part of the logs just show we revving the engine, getting ready to launch. I don't think I datalogged the burnout.

Shiv why do our car's throw codes sometimes when burning out. Sucks big time when you have to shut off the car and restart.

Let me rephrase...why only Shiv, the maker of the Procede, can go into the 11s with Procede ? Maybe because he can go to unrealistic (as far as reliability is concerned) levels of boost like 18.5 psi near redline ?

You've just ruined this thread. Make a new one please as this is only going to generate speculation and arguments.

Correct. Pressure drop across the throttle body increases with boost and RPM. So the car is only really running 16-17psi at 6500rpm. Which anyone can do with this tune and similar mods. Besides being dipped in a vat of gold and blessed by angels, my car is just like yours.

you can do it also by getting some drag radials and a line lock from AR, plus some good driving!!

I've only seen this once. And that was before I installed the line lock. It was from pressing the accelerator and brake pedal at the same time. I think the code was for throttle position implausibility or something like that. Makes sense.

I see you were wheel hopping quite a bit. I've always heard this was bad for a car's driveshaft. The second I start wheel hopping I've always let off. Can you explain a bit on it? I see you sort of just power through it.

Yeah, it's not quick and it's bad for the drivetrain. It's usually caused by unwanted deflection in various suspension bushings. I suspect the solution would be to replace then with sphericial bushings but that would make the ride turn to crap and introduce so much NHV into the cabin. Not good for a street car.

And that's the problem with trying to treat your street car as if it were a racecar. Something will eventually break. Especially when you are putting down big power. I cross my fingers at every launch hoping that my halfshafts don't break. It's not expensive to fix but getting home would be a problem.
