De-carbonize

What I want is something that actually de-carbonizes the head and cylinder surfaces in normal use. To my knowledge there is no such additive even though some products allude to have some of those properties. The hard carbon probably causes much of the internal wear to the cylinder and piston surfaces from particulate damage.
My son had my 335d dyno'd recently at one of his car club meets, and it was still pretty close to factory spec. It had 103k on the odo at that time. So wear doesn't seem to be all that significant of a factor yet. I'm more worried about it getting gummed up (again) since I don't think I could afford to do that service again on my dime rather than BMW's. I'm hoping to get at least 200k out of this car before it is time to retire it.

How much power frankly I dont know, less DIESEL smell and way less black smoke if any. i have been using for about 2 months and even on my 04 venture and my future wife is bictching at me cause the product PR-I works great w gas engine she of anybody in this world knows NOTHING of cars but she attested that the product works great van moves smoother and gas mpg increased. Im going to post a picture of this product once I have it available
PR Just went out and bought some PRI-D. The only place that carries it retail are marine supply stores. I spoke to the guy at the counter and he told me folks swear by it because it maintains the quality of their diesel fuel when their boats are moored for long periods of time. He also said that boat people will use anything that might improve the reliability of their diesel engines given that losing power at sea is more of a problem than having an issue on the freeway. Fishermen say it cuts their diesel fuel bills which until recently were killing their profits.

I had a service at my local dealer at the weekend and they now sell a diesel fuel additive for cleaning the engine and fuel system. Got them to add it for free

So much for the "no Additives" sicker inside the fuel cap cover eh ?

So much for the "premium" diesel fuel that Europe supposedly enjoys? Well, there is always profit to be made....

I use BG244K like once every 3-4 months.
But if your 335d is CPO or under extended warranty, if you complain that you are experiencing hesitation or lack of power, BMW has sent bulletin to dealer to decarbonize. My car was just decarbonized as I had extended warranty which expires end of this month and BMW corporate will pay for it.
I see a big difference and as per BMW SA, there was excessive carbon buildup.

I've been using this, which I picked up during a one-day sale at Home Depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/DIESEL-Me...word=202947248

They had it for $40 during the sale. Instructions say for fuel system cleaning, it's 1 ounce per 5 gallons.

This thing should last me forever.
