Unhappy Problems after Sat module removal

I took my Sirius module out the other day in preparations of selling it and now my radio is being all wonky. There are 2 clicks coming from the speakers ever few seconds that sound like static pops and every once in a while the whole face will shut off for a couple of seconds and will come back on with a lower output volume. Do i need to go get the Sirius module coded out of my car in order for my head unit to function normally again? And how much would the dealer charge me for that, because if it is going to cost me a couple hundred bucks it might not be worth selling.

Thanks a lot guys/gals.

Drew

Ya, you have to code it out of the VO.

You must terminate the MOST (fiber optic) connector with a MOST termination loop. Ask your dealer's part department for it.

So would it be worth selling it for $300-350? I don't know how much the dealers usually charge

So if I get the termination loop will I still need the coding?

Nope
And if the next owner ever wishes to reinstall Sirius
He won't have to code it back

You have a discontinued/very difficult to find module... don't be shy and ask $425.

Somebody will pay sooner or later.

But if it's the earlier version (Build Date) that does not receive the Best of XM - it's worth $100 IMO

Nope. It is sitting in the trunk of MY car and is currently working flawlessly. Thanks Drew.
