Just so I can budget for something like this one day...what were your travel costs all in? Wonderful looking trip. Everyone should be able to do this at least once in life.

Great pics dude as for the car you did everything correctly including the Lemans Blue and NOT waiting for the F30.335is is a very fine choice and should shine for many years.Good Luck and have fun.

Only manual for me also but they don't sell the 335is manual in the United States. At least that's what I heard and its not an option on the U.S. website.

I knew that question was going to come up lol. I should have explained it in the write up. Before we left for europe i made a DIY camera mount that required me to take the head rest off. I tested it out on my 08 335xi and it worked great. However Hans and Klaus over at Bmw did not inform me that the seats in the IS were different and the night before heading to Davos me and all my infinite wisdom started hassling with the headrest until i managed to yank the wires apart that were inside it. So instead of trying to explain the whole story to some service center in Europe we said screw it and ignored it for the rest of the trip.

I dont remember the exact number but travel costs not including the car down payment were 15 thousand dollars give or take a couple hundred bucks. The thing is when me and david were there together we split everything down the middle so up until he left it only cost around 8 thousand (which isnt bad all things considered). I started spending a lot more after he left since i was covering all the costs for the trip to amsterdam with marta.

Manual comes as standard. They had the DCT option (which they were offering for free) when i was buying but like i said i love the third pedal.

Also as far i know i believe the 335is is only available in US.

Finally all picture are showing....I have to admit....I am pretty jealous, looks like hell of a trip/2 month vacation. I remember back at 23 I was able to take those 1-2 month long vacations and spend ton of cash.....Cant do that anymore, 2-3 weeks per year is all i can afford.

Really? There's a 2011 6MT 335is sitting in my garage right now. I also just went to bmwusa.com and built a 2012 6MT 335is.

Who told you this misinformation?

Amazing read! Looks like you had a brilliant time!

I've recently returned from a small road trip from the UK to the Nurburgring with a few friends. We had a truly amazing time and found some really nice mountain roads around the 'Ring', however it doesn't have a touch on your trip!

Thanks for the brilliant read!
