Yea but I want to get intakes and hot charge pipe sorted. Not sure to get vtt or make a custom intake one on each side of engine.

I don't think tft will be able to bend back on itself without reducing performance.

I sold my jb4, but ill get another one. I want a fast 1\4 mile car

Hey mate,

I have a set of VTT silicone inlet tubes on the way for froop, with another 2 sets on order if you are interested.

But if you like the look of the TFT kit I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. The fabricator that I use is more than capable of doing whatever is required, with regards the rear inlet pipe fitment to make the TFT solution RHD compatible.

I'm crossing my fingers a new rear pipe from scratch is not required as that would be a real shame, but we'll be doing whatever it takes to the highest of quality on Ian's car to ensure these kits are 100% bolt-up for future customers.

Thanks,

Justin.

Hey Brendan,

Just get this kit. Less than half the price of the TFT and it's aluminium. I'm sure it'll need a little modifiying but nothing a half decent shop can't do.

Seen it. Vtt leaves everything in place. I don't see the gain moving everything if the rear turbo might have a crazy bend. That's why I'm thinking vtt or custom intake on each side of the engine.

I definitely want max power. Vtt is known to be a bit of a knob but 500-600 for pipes is good if they deliver same as the 600hp rb xi guy

Went to Gazanats and got excited again about making my car go faster.

Since last post I have done.

new brakes and rotors, OEM

I installed my inline gl392pump on the wknd.

Ordered a 200L drum of E85 up to Darwin.

Now on the list that will be done within a month are......

Just emailed boths PTF and Motiv about the twin plate clutch.
Who ever has cheapest I'm going to order same day I get price back off them.

I'm getting my Mfactory LSD installed which has been sitting around my house for 12 months or more.

AND.. I'm on the list for inlets off RB like everyone else.
Also expanding my hot side charge pipe.

Looking at getting apex ps-7 R19s imported or vmr 710's locally if someone will accept offer I made.

Currently running a "pump fuel" BP ultimate map of Wedge which went all day pretty well against the 4-500 hp cars at gazzanats.

Ideally within 2 months I should have the car with inlets running about E40 on some new wheels

Thats interesting never thought of that... how much did that set you back? buying straight from a petroleum supplier? or pre-filled at a regular petrol station?

My diff is nearly apart case is apart and the splines and dust seals are removed. I have to get some circlip pliers to get the bearings out. Public holiday here today so nothings open yet.

2050 US 2883 AU.

Diff center section is out. The bolts on the gear section are that tight I'm going to have to take it to mechanic that has a big breaker bar as I cant physically do it clamped to a bench with normal socket set.

Now I'm going to order the dust seals.

I'll put the lsd in the housing ready for the seals.

Then it will likely take me a day to put it back in once I get the seals.

Brendan are you replacing the seals x3 and the dust shields (small x2 and large x2)? Or just the seals?

I've got an LSD to put in soon so just wondering what parts i should be getting.

I had a custom twin plate built here in Aus because the usd was shit. Much better option. Owes me under 2k and is built locally so cheap to rebuild if the time ever comes!

Good luck with diff swap. Looks so annoying!

Only 2 dust seals to suit my diff, where the axles go in, you don't need to pull apart the drive shaft seal.

I got one out undamaged but damaged the other one.
Bearings look brand new same as inside the diff.

I didn't know there was any available in Australia.

I don't plan on rebuilding a clutch as i dont do many km's less maybe 600 this year.

Should do a review and post it up so others know about the type of clutch you got custom made.

Diff was easy but had to take it to a shop to get the ring gear off and the two "things" at the end that have to be pressed back on the new diff. if its goes back together and backlash is to tight or loose i will have to get it custom shimmed

Clutch is going to cost extra as they wouldn't devalue it under $1000 so I will have to pay the tax on it. Not impressed but I already paid for it.

I didn't think it would be a problem devaluing it.

For everyone else I would reccomend buying it off Motiv and jd75 who offered same price but would have devalued it.

The old diff and lsd was dropped off to get the ring gear off and pressed onto the lsd.

Should have it back during the week and put it back in the housing.
I hope backlash is good straight up.
