Good man. You'll like it apart from perhaps the battery life and lack of storage.

2 day delivery. Great device, but not had a chance to use in anger. May give to my dad.

Anyone tried the on(x) app - Great app for automating what your phone does.

No - will look at it. Timeriffic is good. You can get it to turn on your wifi, or turn your phone to silent at any point of the day. Great app.

I meant to say I got some NFC tags from Rapid NFC for all that sort of stuff. NFC makes geeks with iPhones jealous too

What does this mean? I know what NFC is, and how we'll be able to buy stuff in shops with our phones once google wallet is released in the UK, but what do you mean by getting NFC tags?

PS - trains have started sticking NFC thingies on the walls so you swipe your phone and get more info about the adds on the train. Quite cool.

Basically I sent off for a starter pack of (I think) 6 blank tags. You then use an app such as NFC Task Launcher to program them. Android handsets such as the Nexus devices have NFC built in. So for instance the key ring for my car key is actually an NFC tag and I use it to toggle between Bluetooth on/Wifi off and Bluetooth off/Wifi on. Just place the tag at the rear of the phone for a second and it's done. Saves delving into settings and makes my phone battery last longer.

When you buy, what encoding do you choose, none, URL or text?

Was seconds away from ordering a Nexus 4, until i realised the new generation of phones are already being released. However, fair enough, the Nexus 4 costs half as much as these and will remain unbeatable value for money for the foreseeable future.

That's what I was wondering.

My wife has just ordered the 4..... but now I'm thinking perhaps I should have told her to wait and then I could give her my 4, and I could get a 5!

Having said that, the 4 is still a brilliant phone, not sure I want to change it.
