Hi Guys,

I am interested to buy CPO bmw 328xi Sports (First Car and First BMW) and would love to have your feedback..

This car is listed at 22,551 (24,000) Out the door

I had a word with dealer and he said he is ready to work with me on the price (not lowering under 23,500),

Pros : CPO, Navigation, Premium Pkg, Sport Pkg, Value Pkg and Xenon Lights,Extended maintenance warranty

Cons : 53998 miles, 4 owners

I am bit skeptical on the miles of this car, m going in for a test drive this Saturday and make a final decision of getting a car in coming week.
Is this a right price for the car ?

i know this only means so much but my car is an 08 and has the same amount of miles. Also only has had 2 owners.

being a cpo you wont be paying for anything going wrong (well pretty much everything is covered) but id wouldnt keep talking price with the dealer unless than are willing to go below 19/20k.

Yeah thats does worry me ..
but looking at the carfax
1st owner (5 months) - 11791 miles
2nd owner (2 months) - No Miles Recorded
3rd owner (2 months) - No Miles Recorded

-- However 971 miles being recorded looking prior to 4th owner purchase

4th owner (3yrs 2 months) - 41281 miles

Do you think it would be a fair price for this car, with the carfax history of 4 owners and 54,000 miles ?

So I went for the test drive today for the car i am talking about .. car drives fine even with 54,000 miles on it..

I had to dig with 4 owners scenario with the sales managers with BMW.
He said that 4th should be an owner 2 and owner 3 since it is not possible to lease/buy a car and sell it off within 2 months..
As per the CARFAX the 2nd owner leased it for 2 months and 3rd owner bought it for 2 months untill 4th owner bought it for the next 3.2 years.


Cam we really buy the car in between the lease ? (Never heard of that)
In all the cases the title #s are different.

He says he can talk with Carfax and send a report for correction to them to change it one owner, however not sure if that will be done

Also Carfax shows this Car was bough in Auction, when asked more on that, he said there is always internal BMW Auctions in which they buy .. which seemed to a non justifying answer to me ..

I dont know should i pull a trigger for this car or keep my search going on ?

Keep search going, if car had 30k miles then yea, its a good price.

That ownership cycle is crazy.. If you want it defiantly use that to your advantage to negotiate the price.

American tax is cute, My tax (Ontario, Canada) is 13%. hahaha

The dealership I bought my car from tried to tell me that there's an "$500 Administration Fee" which is bs. Don't let them add any more money to the car besides Initial price + Tax.

I ended up getting the Car with a sweet deal from 25,700 to 22,400 out the door.

I know its 4 owners with 54,000 miles, but a fully loaded for 22 grand is what i thought to be a good price..
Plus i live in the city so daily commuting is not for me, needed a weekend car!!

There are several factors when selling the car.. considering miles, ownership, maintenance cycle, packages on the car

I dont know how much years you intend to keep the car you are interested in ..
considering 2008 bmw after 3 years it can be sold for the same price around what loaded 2005-06 is being sold now ..

Regarding Buying
Just compare the asset value to KKB price and pull down the dealer at least 1500 less than what they are demanding ..

thats what i did, it worked.

You mean the car actually had four owners but he some how made it look like only 3
