2 ways to tell: open the hood, right where the engine stops u will see 2 rubber hoses only if u have the oil cooler. 2nd way: passenger front wheel well, look inside of it and you should see a silver grill. Btw ur car us 08 so if its a coupe, u need the sports package to have the oil cooler, if u have the 4 door theb u need spkrts
Pack and 18 inch rims to get it. Congrats on the ride

At the bottom and center is the oil filter housing, part with black round cap. If your oil filter housing looks like this with hoses coming out, then you do. If it looks significantly different with no hoses, then you don't.

Congratulations on your new ride. Hopefully you won't catch too much of the Mod bug!

I'm glad you like your ride! As for the oil cooler this is where you should look: The passenger side front wheel well, this is the vents PKumarM3 is talking about. If you see those then you have an oil cooler. The pic below is from my car, it shows the vents and the oil cooler.
Hope this is helpful

Those two black threaded fittings you circled are for the lines. (I didn't take too many pictures while I was retrofitting one to my car, and that is one I had access to quickly to respond to your post. Sorry if it caused some confusion.)

The air intake tract is missing a piece and my microfilter housing is still not put back in the picture as well, (note the dangling wire looms/hose towards the top of the picture.

Here are a few upated pics. Mine is not a BMW one so it will look somewhat different.

I noticed that too...

To the OP, even if you have one, you should consider an upgrade or an additional oil cooler if you plan to drive HARD for more than 10 minute intervals, like track days and what not.
