HELP! Hard Breaks on Start-up

Okay, dont bash on me.. but this has bothered me for the past 2 days now..

Hawaii's weather took a 180 turn this past week and im wondering if its contributing to the situation Im encountering?..

I notice that in the morning when I start up my car.. ( pressing breaks ) .. its difficult to press down.. its that same feeling as if I had previously pumped the break pedal.. is this something I should be concerned about?.. Did I do something for this to happen? My daily driving has been the same..

Feed back is greatly appreciated.. TIA.

I'm having the same issue. I read there is a check valve somewhere in the system that would cause this. Anyone heard of this?

There was a guy on here a little while back who had this problem for almost a year or something like that. He had the car in the dealer like five times to fix it. They replaced everything they could think was related to this. I think he was out of warranty for some of the repairs. I don't remember what the solution was but I think it was something simple and cheaper than what they were thinking it was. Not much help I know, but this was discussed on here.

Do you mean the brake pedal is hard to press once you are under way, or the brake pedal is hard to press when you are literally starting up the car?

It's hard as a rock when I 1st start the car in the morning. Once stared it feels normal and works properly.
I found this link. It sounds like the same problem

Would this be covered under the CPO warranty?

Sounds like the non-return valve on the brake booster is leaking, allowing stored vacuum to leak out while the engine is stopped.

I've got this issue too. Does anyone know if this part of the brake system would be covered by cpo warranty?
