I'll have to say I do like the way that rear trunk arcs atop.

It's too bad that Samir doesn't come to these boards very often. I feel like we miss out on a lot of really good stuff that he does b/c of that.

That's because most new E90 owners cannot afford to buy things his place offers.

Oh really? Are they really that high end? But why make parts for the E90/92 if you're not going to sell them to E90/92 owners?

That trunk lip in particular...it can't possibly cost that much can it? And there's clearly a ton of interest in this thread alone.

Technik has quite a following on e46fanatics.com where they do most of their BMW business. When the GruppeM was available, nobody but myself and one other were willing to purchase it. Supersprint exhaust is another case in point. Only one E90post member to my knowledge had purchased the headers.

The trunk is custom, and made of metal. At the time, there was some talk about making a mold and selling replicas, but this once again would require a substantial investment.

A lot of new BMW owners are concerned about issues that may void their warranty. By the time the E90 ages and depreciates, and its "new car buyers" have sold it to "second" owners, there may be more interest in performance modding.

Technik is not a manufacturing facility. They specialize in tuning, and are designated distributors for certain products.
