what new lighting features can you add?

Is the FRM2 expensive? I had no idea it was "retrofittable"

If I have one of these, what needs to be done to code it to my vehicle and my lighting preferences? I have absolutely no experience with coding, etc... I can unscrew the old one and put a new one in, and that's about it.

You will have to purchase a new FRM2 from ebay, replace the old module with the new one. Then you must program the module to the latest firmware(which is done to encode your VIN number) using winkfp. After that, tool32 must be used to confirm that the vin is written to the module. Then NCSExpert is used to write the vehicle order from the CAS(existing original computer) to the new FRM(NFRM). This automatically programs the module with options that should work perfectly with your car. Then you must simulate the make year whenever coding the NFRM. Long process but it shouldnt take more than 20 minutes(with programming time into that number)

I read somewhere changing the brightness of your AE's isn't good? But if it's safe how will that work if you installed LED bulbs? Now I'm interested in learning this FRM2.

Yes. Brightness will only work with bulbs as LEDs dont need that much power to run as it is.

When in the retrofit process to you code the frm2. I have one and I'm going pre lci xenon to euro lci ahl xenon. So do I install the xenons, code the xenons with the frm1 then install the frm2 and do your above steps? Also do you have more detailed information on how to properly code the frm2?
