there is a big difference being a typical "Marine" and being a highly trained killer in a tiny elite group known as NAVY SEALS or Marine Force Recon...

i could argue that the training they do is second to none, but i will NEVER openly say that some of these dessert freaks in Al Quiaida are not some of the deadliest, toughest and dumbest people in the world.

only thing scarier than a highly trained and high educated NAVY Seal is a borderline retarded terrorist that has been drinking water and eating bread for the last 3 years dedicating himself in aiding to destroy the American Race.

al quiaida or any other terrorist organization does not have to follow anyones rules, so there is no "process" they follow.

they are just a bunch of savages that train 24/7 in weapons handling, killing and ruining everything in their path.

due to their lack of education, they are generally weak minded and easily brainwashed.

...and since there is no "oraginzation" to look over them, they typically train for long hours under some of the most brutal circumstances imagineable.

their "toughness and rugedness" is light years above any toughness that the US Military can legally train their personnel, but the terrorist could only DREAM of being able to follow an American blueprint that consists of over 200 years of ass kicking, war winning freedom......

they're terrorists, not some some sort of elite organization that has been curb stomping other countries to defend their own freedom....but they are some tough, pitbull minded zombie sons of bitches....

imo, america's military is grossly bloated and inefficient. a state only needs to be powerful enough where nobody will invade because substantial hurt will ensue. take france for example: 1 carrier, enough nukes, subs, and planes. nobody's going to invade france.

you know who ultimately wins an arms race? the banks.

The US military is a little on the big side (which is changing very quickly if you've been living under a rock and haven't seen the news), however it's rather efficient at what it does every day. Of course, no one is 100% perfect, though.

Stick to hookers and blow.

Only the nukes deter anyone from invading France. If France were to get rid of the nukes, their Navy will devastated as soon as that carrier is sunk, etc.

I agree with the whole deter attack stance on a countries military. I personally don't like that our military is spread around the world acting like we're the world police. Our Navy with its 9 carriers should be used to defend us, not go after a country whose leader we don't like.

We just need to cut the waste out of our military program like the clusterfucks that are the F-35 and Zumwalt class destroyer.

Watched a documentary on sappers the other day. Respect to you. It appears to be quite a tough bit of training you guys go through.

What China doesn't have to go with such equipment is the decades of Command and Operation structure that the U.S. Navy have developed. It will take China a commensurate amount of time to develop their systems.

Well, one carrier battle group is enough to take on some nations. I've heard some experts say that if the US military takes on the entire world's armed forces, it will be hard to predict the winner.

Winning is difficult. I think the US and it's military forces are much more adept at dismantling a threat, in this comparison, a country.

I think some time ago they realized that they don't need to storm the capitol with troops to obtain an objective. This of course is much easier with a modern country. Places like Iraq and Iran can take a pounding and keep on ticking. They are used to living in the dark ages.

However, take the same destruction to China, France, Germany, etc.... A few strategic targets make for a game changer. Although should this play out, it better play out with a nation without ICBM Nukes. Cause the type of destruction the US military can cause to a 1st world country could be perceived as an attempt at annihilation. Which in turn could bring on a maximum defensive launch reaction.

+1 I would say that the Israeli military is as well trained as ours and they definitely have alot of experience as well, however I have full faith in our military to be the best.

I've trained with several other armies all around the world.. I must say, we are the best.. but yet, I know there are hundreds more that are out there that I never seen.
but again, we are constantly at a war.. so this makes us best.. Semper Fi.

guns - Civilians

Ammo - probably the government

The amount of privately owned firearms out number all branches of the military, federal law enforcement, state law enforcement and local law enforcement combined. All that combined totals about 4,000,000 firearms.

China's military and law enforcement reportedly has 23,000,000 firearms compared to America's civilian owned 330,000,000 firearms.
