3M clear bra
ok. so i got 3M clear bra from the dealership. I was washing my car and noticed few rock chips on the hood. Actually it penetrated the clear film and chipped the paint. I believe they told me its lifetime gurantee....what can i do? waht are my options?

If it is really the 3M Clear Bra it only has a 5 year warranty. VentureShield is the one with a "lifetime" warranty, but both have so many constraints I'm not sure if the warranty really means anything. Recommend you contact your SA to find out what can be done to repair your paint under their 3M clear bra "warranty," but standby for a negative reply

Man that sucks. I was going to get mine done last weekend, but the guy was off. So I'm driving down the highway and a damn trucked popped a rock and chipped it pretty hard. So I was wondering the same thing. Is there a warranty for that? I heard it is not, only the film and workmanship. Keep us posted

3M bought out Ventureshield, but if the dealer applied the actual 3M film, I guess you are at a loss, because the 3M film looks poor and isn't durable.

I was also going to opt for the 3M bra to be installed upon purchase of my 335, but I guess since I didn't i'm not missing out on much, plus i have touch up paint and very very few small chips.

I don't see how the rocks chipped the bra unless it was a HUGE rock. I had some fool kiss my bumper with his truck, leaving his license plate frame/bolts resting on the bumper. Other than a very small indention, there was no visible damage.
Over 6000 miles later, I still don't have any knicks/chips where the material is installed. |

this wasn't a rock... it must've been a meteorite
seriously though, that's either a really crappy clear bra or a sharp rock traveling at a pretty damn good speed to be able to chip away clear bra AND paint |

I have ventureshield on my car and they also wrapped my front aero lip as well. My dumbass parked too close to the curb and scraped one edge of the front lip. I backed out and I saw the damage. No damage to the actual lip. It just made a hole in the clearbra so it did it's job.

Ya, I guess. I just looked up my film and it's 8 mil. No wonder it didn't cut.
