2008 E90 335xi

I just recently came across a pretty good deal on an '08 335xi E90.
It's fully, fully loaded, has all the options I was looking for, only thing is that it is a 6 speed auto.

I have some questions:
From what I read, dependant on the build date, this is how you will know if you run into the usual HPFP, etc issues? I know I need to ask my friend to confirm if this has been done. Is there anything else that I should be checking as well?

BMW recommends oil changes at 15K, pretty high if you ask me.
This will be my first car with NAV, for the people that has it, is this something that you need to take to the dealership to update or can you do this on your own?
People with the 6 speed auto, how do you find this tranny? Is it very responsive or sluggish?

Certified Pre-Owned, it's a warranty that usually comes with the car that takes care of any manf. defects, malfunctions, turbos going bad, interior window regulators (for example), etc... With buying used you need to ensure the car comes with a warranty that will back any major damages. Especially on turbo-based vehicles!

What's the cost of this car (how do you know it's a good deal?).

Also, on the automatic transmission - I wouldn't say those are bad... Just make sure you keep up with regular scheduled maintenance and make sure all of it was done (up to its current mileage) from the dealership you are buying it from (assuming you are buying it from a dealership).

Thanks. Yes there will be CPO on this as I will be purchasing this from a BMW dealership. Sorry, I'm a complete nOOb to all these abbreviations. lol

When I originally saw the car on the lot, I saw the sticker price then talked to my friend and he named his price.

Ola!
I need to ask my friend to confirm this. I hope so, I mean don't they fix all the problems/recalls on the used cars prior to parking them on the used car lot, I sure hope so. lol

No, no they do not lol. If they did, consumers wouldn't have to be so cautious to buying USED vehicles.

Yeah, now that I think of it, it would be a perfect world if they actually did what I thought huh?
How do you like your Xi? Is it all time AWD or can you turn it off/on?

I love my xi, and I actually wish I had a 335xi; however, I needed better MPG and they didn't have any CPO ones around my area for a decent price.

I believe our cars are all time all wheel drive unless something malfunctions.. Then it becomes RWD and disengages the front.

Yeah, that's the thing I need to get used to, the MPG. I'm coming from a flashed 2.0T 4 cylinder engine. lol

Hey, question for you, have you heard of anything on servotronic?

Yup, it's BMW's technology for speed-based/assisted steering.

"Effortless agility when parking, light-footed responsiveness and stability at higher speeds: Servotronic adjusts the amount of steering assistance to suit the current speed, enhancing driver comfort by lowering the effort needed to turn the steering wheel."

Was that the question? lol

Unless I choose to wait until the rates come down, I'm not going to be leasing for some time.

Hmm.. how soon are you looking to get into a car. Would you be willing to travel to get the vehicle like I did? I can give you my guy, who has the absolute best rates possible for leases.
