OEM replacement brakes
So its finally time, i have to pay for my own brakes
so what to get? it would have to at least be better and cheaper than OEM I know there are a lot of choices but what do you all think is best bang for the buck brakes |

My recommendation is OEM but not purchased through a dealer. Go look at bavauto, AutohausAZ.com etc...
If you go to a dealer to get parts you will get one of a few choices of brands (no idea which one). OE Pads are: Textar, Jurid, Pagid, possibly ATE OE rotors are: Brembo, Zimmerman, Balo I have usually, perhaps unfairly, avoided Brembo because there are so many Brembo knock offs out there that are always sub-par. Those "Brembo" discs found on EBay usually aren't actually Brembo. Balo reportedly has the most control over their metallurgy because the same company mines and refines ore. I've usually gone with Balo discs and Textar pads. |

I've yet to have an issue with OEM brake pads. They are good quality and noise-free. The ones that came on my 2011 year car have little dust either, even after two days at the track.
