CIC controller retrofit - Update & Question

Hi guys!

I read a lot of post related to the ccc to cic controller retrofit.
To sum up people said :

You need to have
- ccc unit with the 8 tactiles buttons
- update ccc unit to grey background
- coding could be required

Even if "working" some are experiencing some problems with "scrolling" feature...

Well ...

Could someone explain me the scrolling feature??

I just bought a cic controller. I have BROWN ccc with 8 tactiles buttons.
Guess what?

Everything is working fine for me... no coding, no ccc update, I have shortcuts working, scrolling??

scrolling.... moving up and down a menu list on the display by turning the idrive controller anticlock or clockwise

what age is your car...

just thinking if you have 8 buttons then I don't think you can have brown idrive colour scheme....

which may well explain why it all works... the "silver" version is very subtle if you ask me...
