It was red when you entered......consider yourself lucky you didn't hit someone else coming the other way that was jumping the light like you were
Like you've never mis-judged a light in your entire life because you were distracted for a split second. It's not like I purposely run reds like a honky hillbilly on moonjuice. I'm just asking for people's thoughts on whether or not to fight the ticket.

How the hell can you "misjudge" a traffic light and enter the intersection on a red light???? I can see someone not paying attention and entering late on a yellow light but if you start to enter an intersection on a red light you should have your license suspended.

Let me guess your lack of "judgement" or "distraction" in the past has led to at fault accidents or damage to your car

Don't troll. Don't judge.

I've been driving 30K+ for 25 years, and I've seen that shit happens to everyone eventually, whether they deserve it or not.

Anyhow, agree to disagree. Ticket has now gone to court. We'll see what happens in 8-12 months. Thanks for all the opinions, and not the judgements.

-Ask the court to produce a full report that the red light camera did not malfunction at the time of the photo.

-Since the red light camera is the one with the evidence, ask if the red light camera wishes to drop the charges today, if no answer is reported, you take the silence as yes and ask the judge to dismiss the case. If the judge or anyone speaks on behalf of the red light camera, ask to see the power of attorney where the red light camera granted authority to the judge or anyone else to speak. Stay on that point, case dismissed. These are really simple cases.
