New 4 series details....

Just been reading the final details on the 4 series... I had assumed one of these would be my next car but now I'm not so sure!

435d will be xDrive-only in Britain.
435d AND 430d will be auto only. Doesn't bother me but there is no 6-pot diesel manual option available, that will surely upset a lot of people...

It doesn't look half as pretty as the pre-production pictures either......same ugly front end as the new 3....

It's really cool that they're bringing xDrive to RHD vehicles now.I did not know about this.

It's kind of weird that both the 435d and 430d will be available in auto only. I would understand if it was just the 435d, but not the 430d too.

Im the same, I actually think the msport F30 saloons are better looking cars than the 4 series.
It was a given that the car would never look as good in the flesh as it did in the pictures or the advert.

That looks so dull for a BMW coupe, even in M-Sport guise.

The M-Sport might look better when the UK version is released, if you look at the US M-Sports they have smaller wheels and don't look half as good.

I am bitterly dissapointed in the lack of a manual gearbox for the 6 pots.

Too much torque for the manual gearbox and the new 8 speed auto box is so quick shifting it really suits the diesels so well. Also clearly manuals have been slow sellers in the past therefore they have decided they are not needed.

I just can't warm to that front end and those daft vents (or whatever) on the wings... i liked the Z4 front end, 6-er is ok ... but don't think this at all ... interiors look great, but I can't see me going for a 4-er in the future

Same here. I'm going to hold out for the LCI. I never liked the original E90 but they really turned it around with the E90 LCI so hopefully they will do the same again.
