Can You Use Suction Device 4 Oil Change?

Couldn't find anything on the subject....I prefer to use a suction pump and tank to change oil on our cars and motorcycles. Since there isn't an oil dipstick on 335i's is there another way to suction the old oil out? Because the oil filter is on the top of the engine, I'm trying to change oil and filter without jacking up the car. Any help is appreciated.

don't think it'd be possible, since there's nothing that connected to the bottom of the pan
