Talking Thinking of putting summer wheels back on!

All this mild weather and no end in sight makes me wonder wether I should put my summers back on until we get winter proper!

It was 12 degrees this morning and my winters are for temps below 7 degrees

What would you do?

Jon

Guys have had them on for a couple of months now and we've only had a handful of cold days.

How quickly do they wear out when it's a bit warm for them?

I wouldn't say there is much point taking them off now. A cold snap must surely be coming soon.

What's a boy to do eh I've got brand new 313's all wrapped up in their storage bags and it's tropical. I'm still wearing shirt sleeves at work

I will probably leave them on but I want to see how they perform in the crappy stuff. I keep seeing bm's running summer set up and I'm jealous

Bloody stoopid weather

Got tyres fitted to my original wheels a few weeks ago and haven't bothered putting them on the car yet, as everyone is saying, rarely seen it below 8°C.

Different weather where I am. Certainly been milder but still regularly below 7 degrees, usually below 5 and roads continually wet. I've not driven on a dry road for a while now. Winters are performing brilliantly, staggered 18" Falkens.

Don't do it! If you leave it till it snows, you'll end up having to swap 4 wheels, in the freezing cold, when it's probably dark and wet, too. Trust me, I speak from painful experience

Leave the winters on, it's the middle of December - cold weather can't be far off now. It was 2 degrees when I left for work this morning, so it's cooling down a bit.

Keep the 313s nice for the summer don't expose them to grimey gritted wet roads and then put them into storage for months immediately after, you'll regret it for years (or an expensive refurb) to come.

I've found the winters to be great fun though. No grip at all. TCS half off and power sliding around every corner at 15mph lol. The CSC5Ps you simply can't slide, so..

OK...... I'm going to keep the winters on and while its mild use the motorbike a bit more

The thought of getting all that salt over the new ones makes me
go all

But then getting salt all over the motorbike makes me go all

Bloody OCD is doing my head in

the roads have been greasy as hell (Midlands) these last few weeks. My wife's car on summers and mine on winters have both been really interesting, especially on roundabouts and thin layer of morning dew on the surface.

But so far the 335 on winters at anything 10 degrees or below in the wet i.e. damp or proper rain has been faultless. Just feels really solid.

If you're driving to the conditions, you won't be wearing down the winters excessively. After nearly 1k miles on the Sotto Zero's, they still have the rubber spiky things so haven't worn even by 0.2mm yet ! But there again I have been cruising everywhere at 65 or below as everyone else on the road is acting like a total dick in rush hour traffic.

It's like "attack of the bell-ends" round here at the moment, I don't know what gets into people on their way to work - they must just all be late and brain dead
