I spoke to my salesman yesterday and he is arranging delivery for me this Saturday so I guess these cars will be in transit to the dealerships on Wed and Thurs. I'm in Westchester NY so not too far from the port in Newark. Can't wait!!

MID NEXT WEEK??? i am loosing it now. why cant the CA's just tell if the car cleared VPC/customs or not? Given he fact that the car was discharged from the boat this past Saturday this seems an awful long time for priority 1 cars.
I really expected more from a BMW buying experience then these insanely vague replies from CA's.

Just came back from the dealership. Salesman still shows car at VPC. He says it can take up to 7 days from arrival in port to be released so now he thinks Saturday might not happen. Expect cars by early next week. The dealer's tracking system shows when the car is scheduled to be released to the carrier and so far, that date is blank...

The dealer prep is usually finished on the same day as the car arrives at the dealer.

yea it does suck but its better not to rush into it, nobody wants to get the car with any type of damages.....plus my prep shouldn't be long in the dealer because i asked them to not detail my car and to leave the shipping tape on and to leave the plastic on the seats.

I think my CA has stopped replying to my emails and voice mails now. I guess I will only hear from him once the car is ready for delivery. OH WELL!!

Depends if you are installing any dealer options, but should be about 1 day for dealer prep and licensing.

What aftermarket stuff do you have planned for your car after you take delivery? Sounds like you want to keep in clean and covered while it is being worked on...

i dont wanna do to much modding to my car 4 now.....i asked them to leave all my shipping tape on and not to detail my car because a lot of dealership washes are very poor and will sometimes leave what we like to call "added swirl option" where the dealer swirls your paint before you even pick it up, im want to be able to prep my car and peal all the plastic myself, as of mods im thinking of buying a vishnu procede v2 computer,a short shifter (depending if i dont like the stock shifter), and i also bought me a valentine 1 radar.

Sounds sweet. I ordered my car in Black Sapphire Metallic and I'm very concerned about surface scratches on a black car due to washing. I think the metallic paint will help conceal them if they occur.

I am a 1er guy from over on 1addicts, I am also awaiting word from my CA. This part of the wait is freakin' horrible!

You would think that they would have some sort of scan and ship procedure by now, where they can track the car to its exact location. My CA still says it shows on the boat, lol...I hope not! As the MW is now going thru the Gulf of Mexico!!

yea i ordered mines in crimson red, i was thinking black but then i would have to keep cleaning it to make sure i don't scratch it and i dont want to see swirls when the sun is directly facing the car...so i chose the crimson red, its similar to the imola red and i love the crimson red the minute i saw it.

Client advisor is your sells person that orders your car.
