I'm not saying having a plain hood is better, but there's something about the way that middle crease is designed that bothers me right now. Maybe it won't later.
I was looking through the pdf on the specs, and noticed it said the drag coefficient on the 335 sedan is 0.3, and the others are 0.27. What is causing that? (if it is correct)

It was standard and now an option.... you can thank the lowly dollar on that as margins are slim enough now.

Going to weigh into the bonnet debate (hood in US parlance )
I can't wait to see it in the flesh. I am not convinced about the extra lines on the bonnet yet I think they may look a little fussy, and the current bonnet looks elegant... I know that time may have made us think of it as bland... but I am going to reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh. Small thing though because I love everything else they have done to the car, it looks much much better.

I don't mind the facelift, but I thnk it looks a little like the aerodynamic kit, but now it will just come standard.

When I get mine, unless or until I find a better name, I'll probably just call it Worf.

I like the front end, but I agree with the others that say TOO much red on the taillights. I wonder if aftermarket parts will offer options to change this.
I guess I missed it somewhere, but I thought the 330i model was dead and done. |

It can't be a US DOT mandate since DOT permits both red or amber turn signals. Europe requires amber. Seems to me that if they can put amber on the rear turn signals in the US it would be cheaper to have only one type manufactured and use the amber lights throughout the world. What's the requirement in Canada or other American countries?

No real 'wow' here... bit busy front bumper and to much angles and curves on the edge of the hood. Good news is the upgraded Nav Pro. The rear doesn't look better than the old one, especially not when the old one has the dark tail lights..
I can get my hands on a current (old) E90 and I think that'll be my new company car. The current one comes in Holland with nice free packages and discount (Business Line, Carbon Sport). The new one doesn't, at least not for another 6-12 months. To build the same car would add another EUR 5.700/USD 9.200 to the bill.. And I really like Carbonschwartz and 188 type wheels (both part of the Carbon Sport package) on an E90... |

Anyone think the OUTER portion of the tail lights (LEDs) will fit on the 06-08 E90?

They look like the would. The trick to a cost effective udpate is to not change any of the large pieces of sheet metal. I have looked at the line of the outer lights carefully before and it looks to be the same shape. This makes sense because it would cost a lot of money to change that piece of sheet metal for a small change of the lights. They were clever to change the inner section which would have cost less, but gave such a dramatic change to the look of the rear.
Your problem may be electrical compatibility over physical fit.
