Does Alpine White discolor after some time?

I mentioned to a friend that I liked the Alpine white. He said he's owned white cars before and they all seem to get dirty/discolored looking after a while.

Was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on BMW white paint?

Any chance of an Alpine White looking yellowish after a few years?

Thanks,
-Kuthair

oxidation, but regular maintenance of the finish is key to any car's color.

I had a white Mazda that I bought new and owned for 9 years. Never had any porblems with discoloration. Or any problems with the paint at all.

ok, that's good news. I used to wax my previous car twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall.

I can't imagine a $40+ car would be susceptible to this.

I have Pearl white on my Maxima and it still looks the same! I wish BMW had a Pearl white. That is an awesome color!

So far so good with mine. It's a year old. First white car for me. I think most likely the clear coat will yellow before the white does. If you keep it clean and waxed it should last many years without discoloration.

I'll also say this - this is my first white car, and won't be my last! I love the Alpine White! Very classy looking and easy to keep clean.
